While my father was camping at Palani, he happened to listen to a song rendered by a saint. There was something in the song that captivated my father. He was so impressed that he made an unusual request to the saint to come home with him. The singer, Calcutta Sri Mani Iyer had many engagements but still he agreed and came all the way to our house at Thrissur and initiated all of us to Thiruppugazh form of worship. I was a small child then but the Thiruppugazh form of worship he introduced created a great impact on me as well. Years have rolled by and many changes have happened but the light of Thiruppugazh which Mani Iyer lit in our heart illuminated all through our life.
Years later when I happened to listen to a discourse by Sri Ramana Charana Teerthar, Sri Nochur Swamigal, it was another milestone in my life. As I listened and read about Bhagavan, I felt that the devotion which Thiruppugazh had inculcated has taken the next step towards Jnana.
I wish to share whatever little knowledge that I have gathered through this website which has been created by my son, K. Viswanath for me. As I consulted some works, it helped not only in writing but also in knowing. I hope the readers would benefit from this for whatever it is worth.
